Our comprehensive adult art course has been carefully designed for absolute beginners through to improvers. The program consists of four modules which cover the most widely used mediums in art.
Each week is designed to build your skills progressively, helping to develop your artistic confidence and knowledge, and ensuring a rewarding and enriching experience.
By the end of the 14 weeks, you'll have explored a variety of techniques and subjects and wonder at the progress you have made. You'll come away with a portfolio of artwork you've created and wonderful memories of your artistic journey.

Drawing
Our course begins with the fundamentals of drawing. You’ll learn essential techniques such as line drawing, shading, and tonal values. We cover a variety of subjects, including still life, landscapes, and portraits, helping you develop a solid foundation and boost your confidence in your drawing abilities.
Watercolours
The watercolour module introduces you to the beauty and versatility of this medium. You’ll learn about brush handling, wash techniques, and color mixing. By the end of this module, you’ll have created a series of beautiful watercolour paintings, mastering techniques like transparency and layering to add depth to your work.
Acrylics
Our acrylic painting sessions are designed to help you understand and utilize this versatile medium. You’ll practice various techniques, including impasto and glazing, and work on projects ranging from abstract compositions to detailed realism. This module aims to expand your creative horizons and refine your painting skills.
End of term exhibition
At the end of our 14-week course, we celebrate your progress with a final exhibition. This event is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your artwork and share your achievements with family and friends. You’ll leave the course with a portfolio of your creations, a sense of accomplishment, and cherished memories of the journey.
